Toronto’s Outdoor Art Exhibition at Cty Hall signals the official start to Art season in Southern Ontario. And its quite a pllgrimage of artists and crafts people with all the trappings of a Haj including the cluster of white tents that fill the square in front of City Hall:
Looking towards Downtown
View to the West
And this summer day the combination of humidity, high temperature and few winds had one thinking of taking a dip in the inviting skaters fountain.
However the show was fairly crowded for early Friday morning. And its as much fun seeing all the people actions as it is to go craft and art shopping:
Dramatic Painting from Iranian artist
Despite the heat crowds are heavy
And dressed for the conditions
Lots of animated conversations between artists as the show starts
A favorite corner in the show
Pointilism become bubblism??
As the downtown soars ever upward with both commercial and residential skyscrapers, Toronto City Hall both old and new become welcome respites with space, views and places of meeting and relaxation growing ever scrarcer in Toronto’s core.
